Dani, a wife and mother of three 💖💙💙
Began her transformative journey in 2019 when her family became a kinship care family. Through their experience, Dani developed a deep passion for empowering foster and kinship parents and improving the foster care experience.
Welcoming a child through kinship foster care revealed firsthand the overwhelming challenges families face, from managing appointments and visits to communicating with birth parents. Determined to alleviate these burdens, Dani envisioned the Foster Accountability App a groundbreaking tool designed to simplify scheduling, reporting, and communication for foster and kinship caregivers. This app reflects Dani’s commitment to creating practical solutions that reduce stress and allow families to focus on what matters most: connection and care.
Her journey didn’t stop there. Inspired by the complexities and joys of navigating kinship, foster, and now permanent care, Dani founded iFosteriCare, a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting foster and kinship families. Through tools, technology, and resources, Dani strives to equip families with the support they need to thrive in the face of foster care challenges.
Dani’s personal experiences also revealed the need for practical support to access essential services. As a caregiver with additional children to care for, the cost of everyday services like haircuts or tutoring often felt out of reach. This inspired the creation of the FosterLink Program, which connects foster and kinship families with trusted local service providers to meet practical needs, bridging a vital gap in support.
Her role as a caregiver for a neurodivergent child underscored the importance of creating tailored learning environments where children can thrive. This experience inspired Dani to envision the EmpowerU Learning Center, a sensory-friendly educational space designed to meet the unique needs of neurodivergent kids in care. Set to launch soon, this initiative reflects her commitment to fostering growth and resilience for every child.
As a wife and mother, Dani places family at the heart of everything she does. She understands the importance of nurturing relationships and creating a safe, loving environment for children. Her own family’s journey and values inspire her mission to empower other families navigating foster care.
