Dani Washington, Founder and CEO
Dani is the passionate founder of iFosteriCare, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering and equipping families navigating the foster care system. With a deep commitment to improving the lives of children and families, Dani spearheads innovative initiatives, programs, and resources that provide support and guidance. With a heart for making a lasting impact, Dani's visionary leadership drives iFosteriCare's mission to create a better future for those in the foster care community.
Kimberly Davis, Secretary
Kimberly is a dedicated board member who brings a wealth of experience and expertise to our organization. With a background in research administration and community services, she has made significant contributions to our mission. Kimberly has worked in research grant administration for several years and previously served as an accountant for public housing and Section 8 grants.
Alongside her professional endeavors, Kimberly is the owner and creative director of Karar Dance Academy, where she teaches tap, ballet, and jazz dance. Her passion for dance extends beyond the studio, as she actively engages in community dance initiatives and shares her love for the art form with others.
Kimberly’s dedication to community engagement, her entrepreneurial spirit, and her passion for the arts make her an invaluable asset to our board. Her diverse background and commitment to making a positive impact in our community align perfectly with our organization’s mission and vision. Through her leadership and contributions, Kimberly plays a crucial role in advancing our organization and creating a better future for those we serve.
Brandon Washington, Treasurer
Brandon, a long-standing advocate and supporter of iFosteriCare, brings a wealth of expertise and passion to the organization as a valued member of the board of directors. With a solid background in Information Technology, Brandon's technical knowledge and commitment to the mission of iFosteriCare are instrumental in propelling the organization forward. Having dedicated himself to making a positive difference in the foster care community, Brandon possesses a deep understanding of the unique challenges and opportunities that nonprofits face.
As a dedicated board member, Brandon actively collaborates with fellow members to provide strategic guidance and ensure the organization fulfills its mission.
Ethel Long, Board Member
Ethel is a dynamic board member who brings a strong spirit and a deep passion for community engagement. As the owner of Coco's Kitchen and Coco's Creative Creations, Ethel has demonstrated her passion for culinary arts and creative endeavors.
Ethel is known for her delectable dishes and unique creations. Her dedication to providing quality food and innovative creations reflects her unwavering commitment to excellence.
As a board member, Ethel's entrepreneurial mindset and creative vision inspire our team. Her expertise in the culinary and creative realms enriches our discussions and strategic planning, ensuring that we remain innovative and forward-thinking in our approach.
Mignon Smack, Board Member
Jecil Smith, Board Member
Jecil is a dedicated board member with a strong background in education and entrepreneurship. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Education from Huston-Tillotson University and has been making a positive impact in the field since 2012.
With her extensive experience as an educator, Jecil recently took on the role of Assistant Principal, bringing her passion for education and commitment to student success to the forefront. Additionally, Jecil is the founder of Faithful Teacher Tees & More, a business specializing in shirts, showcasing her entrepreneurial spirit and creative talents.
As an invaluable member of our board, Jecil expertise and dedication contribute to our organization’s mission of creating a better future for children. Her strong background in education and entrepreneurship brings valuable perspectives and insights to our initiatives.
Pastor Mechelle Smith, Board Member
Mechelle is the wife of Melvin, founder and Pastor of The Abiding Glory Tabernacle. She is the bonus mom to their daughter, Sharia, and they have 3 grandchildren. She believes the Word of God is the foundation of life and that by pursuing the Lord you will walk in your God-ordained destiny.
Mechelle has a BA in Biblical Studies, a Doctorate of Divinity, and is a graduate of Sonship School of the Firstborn. She also holds a BS in Accounting and a MBA. Her career spans a wide range in finance.
